Global Hands-On Universe (GHOU) and Galileo Teacher Training Program (GTTP) |
The first announcement for this year's GHOU conference has been announced. Held in Garching, Germany, Aug. 1-7 (inclusive), the conference will also include a teacher training workshop. Details can be found in the announcement below:
Dear Global HOU Community,
We have had a fabulous year of training GTTP/GHOU teachers, reaching
approximately 5000 teachers around the world this year!! Now GHOU is one
of the largest coordinated astronomy education networks in the world, and
a pathfinder
for Global Science Education.
Now, to continue building momentum:
We announce the 2010 GHOU Conference in Garching, Germany (near Munich)

The Conference Program will evolve over the next months.
The first three days (GTTP) will be training on the use of several new,
great emerging
resources (the Universe Quest Game, GHOU activities -- Exo-planets!,
International Asteroid Search
Campaign!, Measuring the Expanding Universe from Supernovae!, etc.)
